Children's Play

In the Lanvin Resort 2012 Collection, Alber Elbaz rolled out his first children's line featuring dresses that were just shy of four figures and an amazing trench coat that would cost more than a months wage. One could wish!

Lanvin Fall 2011

Lanvin’s fall 2011 collection had creative director Alber Elbaz taking the label to new heights with his feminine silhouettes which ranged from sculptural to slouchy in shape. Accessories included wide brim hats which covered the models’ faces, bedazzled belts and chunky necklaces made of metal hardware. With the wide brim hats and dramatic capes–the Lanvin woman seemed elegant yet mysterious for the autumn season.

Lanvin Pre-Fall 2011

"It's not about Marilyn Monroe moving to India and having an acid trip," the ever quotable Alber Elbaz said about the pre-fall show he staged at the Bowery Hotel. "It's about real women's needs and desires." And since he's been noticing an increasing tendency among women to wear evening for day—"why save the best dishes for the guests?" he asked backstage—he took that as his direction. (style)

My favorite is the silk creme skirt with the grey sweater. Perfect pairing of feminine and masculine. Devine!

Beautiful Brits

Not sure who is more adorable: Carey Mulligan or Alexa Chung!! Both girls at the launch party for Google's Boutiques.com in NYC. Chung wears Proenza Schouler from the Fall 2010 collection and Mulligan in Lanvin.

The Show

The Lanvin for H&M collection has an accompanying video called “The Show." I think it's a little cheesey to be honest (models can't act), but it allows you to see the collection in motion.

More Lanvin for H&M

Irina Lazareanu stars in the highly anticipated Lanvin for H&M lookbook. Wearing pieces which pay homage to past Lanvin collections, Irina looks cool in a mix of youthful and elegant designs. In addition to black dresses, Irina also sports an explosion of prints and graphic patterns for the collaborative collection set to appear in select stores November 23.

The H&M Showroom presented strapless, asymmetrical, colorful, tulle, silk, puffy sleeved, one-sleeved dresses alongside graphic tshirts, faux fur coats. trenches, jackets, vests, shirts and blazers. Accessories included canvas graphic bags, shoes with embellished heels and ribbon details (my favorite!), leopard print, and floral clutches. Belts, necklaces, earrings, leather gloves, tights, sunglasses and even lipstick is included in this collection, all to make women feel even sexier!

Alber Elbaz said in his interview that, "This is not about a dress for less, it's more about bringing Lanvin to a wider audience." However, since the H&M's here in Minneapolis will not be carrying the designers collection, i'll be shopping online at www.hm.com at 7am GMT to purchase some of the pieces. Better to shop online than to be trampled to near death like most people will be in the "big" cities. Can't wait! What are your favorites?

Lively in Lanvin

Oh No She Didn't! Blake Lively was a presenter at Spike TV's annual "Scream Awards" wearing head to toe Lanvin from the Spring 2011 collection. How the heck did she manage that when the runway show was only less than three weeks ago? Though she looks "good," she seems to make the to-die-for pleated dress, look somewhat hoochie like. Shrink those tits girl! Frida Gustavsson looks much better in this, don't you think?
