I don't know how i JUST found out about this, but one of my favorite books, Norwegian Wood, was made into a movie! Everyone should read this book, by Haruki Murakami, about a romantic and tragic love triangle taking place in 1960's Tokoyo. Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi, of Babel and The Brothers Bloom, plays emotionally troubled Naoko and Kiko Mizuhara plays free spirited Midori. Both actress were at the Venice Film Festival promoting their film, and looking beautiful on the red carpet. Rinko is wearing a Fall 2010 Couture Chanel bronze embroidered dress. Kiko looks beautiful in this Fall 2010 Couture Valentino gown. Here is a short movie trailer teaser. Comes out in December 2010. I WILL be counting down the days...
Michelle Williams in Venice, Italy premiering her new Oregon Trail western, Meek's Cutoff. The actress, who turns 30 on Thursday, glowed in a Jason Wu dove grey silk chiffon embroidered gown with jabot collar. She accessorized with Louboutin slingback shoes, Cecilia bag, and Bulgari jewels.
It's official! Alber Elbaz, head designer of the French house Lanvin, will be collaborating with H & M, consisting of women's and men's wear that will launch on November 20th. The womenswear collection will reportedly encompass 30 garments and 15 accessories, while the menswear will include 25 garments and about 10 accessories.
Elbaz says of the collection: “I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. I thought it was a smart concept so I say 'I do.' This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.”

Petite beauty Natalie Portman was out in Venice promoting her new movie Black Swan and wore, none other than, Rodarte. The Mulleavy Sisters designed a timeless scarlet Swarovski-encrusted tulle gown specifically for the occasion. The sisters also designed more than 30 different costumes for her film where she is plays a ballerina.
Natalie has been wearing Rodarte for the past couple of years to all of her red carpet events such as the 2009 Oscars in a lilac gown, the launch of Rodarte for Target in yellow, at the 2008 Venice Film Festival in black and at the permiere of her film The Other Boleyn in Berlin wearing black and blue.
