2012 Critics Choice Awards

Awards season is upon us!

 Last night at the 2012 Critics Choice Awards celebs came out pouring onto the red carpet but sadly, for me, it was a lot of disappointment. There were a few leading ladies like Emma Stone, Diane Kruger and Michelle Williams that looked exquisite, but they always are red carpet ready. A couple of disappointments were Chloe Moretz and Elle Fanning, who normally are stand outs for me. The two teenage tweens wore gorgeous dresses from Chanel and Rodarte, respectively, but the dresses were wearing them and were not age appropriate (images below).

Form and Function

Ok. So these Worishofer sandals aren't as hot as a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood's would be, BUT they are cute and super comfortable (so I hear). I'm seriously thinking of getting a pair, but which ones? The buckled slingback, the ankle strap, or the tied slingbacks? And hey, if Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams can wear them, so can I!

Kirsten Cannes Style

Kirsten Dunst was at Cannes Film Festival last week to promote her movie, Melancholia. She wore a slew of dresses on the red carpet including: Chanel Spring 2010 Couture, Chanel Resort 2012, Chanel Spring 2011 Couture, Chloe, and Rodarte Fall 2011, respectively.

Here is the trailer for Melancholia, also staring Charlotte Gainsbourg, directed by Lars Von Trier. Kirsten won Best Actress at Cannes for her performance in this beautifully odd movie about two sisters who find their relationship challenged as a nearby planet threatens to collide into the Earth.
