Versace for H&M

H&M has announced its next collaborator: Versace. Donatella Versace looked back at the house archives to reinterpret classic Versace designs from 1978 to today — "iconic Versace pieces [from] iconic Versace moments" as she put it — for the collection, which will encompass around 40 pieces for women, as well as a 20-piece collection for men and a selection of homeware (think bedspreads and pillows).

Since the collection is debuting on November 17 (in 300 stores worldwide and online) — right in the thick of party season, as Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M, points out — it will be dominated by gold studded leather dresses (one of which Donatella was "so excited" about that she wore yesterday to take her bow at the Versace men's show), colorful silk and print dresses, high heels, and costume jewelry.

Back to Reality

Back from an eight day vacation out in NYC. I love the city in the summer. You can just walk and walk; given you're wearing the right shoes or you can wear unbelievably cute shoes that haven't been broken in yet for the summer and get blisters all over your perfectly pedicured toes. ouch. Shopping was a success as always. One of my favorite stores is Duo in the East Village, great vintage and modern pieces. Also headed to Soho where lot's o'damage was done:

I was looking for a perfect everyday sandal and what did i get? 3.1 Phillip Lim treated me real well with these Sidibe Sandals. Now i can look like Alexa. Is that creepy? :)

Got this amazing H&M asymmetrical orange skirt (left) to wear to a wedding later this summer.

Elin Kling X HM

Blogger fav, Elin Kling, is the first fashion blogger to collaborate with the line H & M. Her collection consists of nine fashion pieces and two accessories. It’s described as “modern, light and minimalistic with bohemian influences. A strong and clear collection, where silhouette and materials are more important than decoration.“

I'd kill for that printed silk maxi dress and the white clutch! Unfortunately, it is only available in Sweden coming out on Feb.3rd.
