Karl Lagerfeld will create a one-off limited edition women’s collection with a few men’s wear items that will be sold in about 250
Macy’s stores as well as online for fall 2011 (September). The collection will be part of a new designer initiative that Macy’s will launch next year in which designers create capsule collections for the store’s Impulse department.
Back in 2004, Karl collaborated with
H&M (the first designer to have a collaboration with the mass retailer). My friend was lucky enough to snag up a t-shirt with a sketch of the designer and gave it to me. I hope to god that his collection comes to Minneapolis Macy's.
